The impact of wealth inequality has always been a major topic for many economists through history. Various circumstances in economic history have played a major role in the emergence of the interest in the distribution of wealth in society. Wealth inequality is a major topic for many different economies around the world and it has different significant effects on economic growth of those economies. There are many reasons that contribute to wealth inequality and these reasons can be very different for many countries around the world. Wealth inequality has been a major concern especially for those countries that have a big economic impact in overall economy around the world. The modern debate about wealth inequality began in the late 19th century. It’s important for people to understand possible negative and positive effects of wealth inequality, especially now when the level of wealth inequality is dramatically rising in many rich countries. This paper aims to examine different factors causing wealth inequality and possible outcomes of wealth inequality in terms of economic growth.
