How do I Look": Analzying how professinal athlete's utilize social media and branding to help reinforce their fashion identities."

The advancement of social media generates questions about how it impacts the development of identities. Concomitantly, as these platforms develop, their importance for branding and marketing also grows. Professional athletes rely on social media platforms to develop their personal and professional brand. In the process, they're inevitably held to a standard in how they interact on those spaces. In this qualitative research, I analyze how athletes stratigically brand themselves through social media posts, pictures, tweets, etc. in order to promote fashion brands while reinforcing their professional identities. Overall, athletes employ a mix of PR-type as well seemingly personal forms of communication while promoting fashion brands.
