In an effort to discover new fuels, synthetic molecules are examined for their thermodynamic efficiency. New, previously unsynthesized molecules are examined for the viability of being a new fuel source. Two reaction channels were studied: combustion and detonation. Molecules were studied using the ab initio quantum mechanical density functional theory.
