What Determines the Number of Games a Rookie Plays in the NFL?

Through examining several variables, the variation in the number of games that 2016-17 NFL rookies played for the season is 82.3% explained. It was determined that a player must be healthy to play in the game, contribute to past wins, and play at an impact position. Having a lot of teammates playing the same position doesn't seem to be a huge factor, just as draft position has little effect on games played.
