Lighting involves more than just allowing an audience to see the actors. Although that is the primary goal, Lighting allows location and time to be conveyed to audience members without changing the physical set pieces. Emotion is also accented through the colors and effects that lighting can produce. It is the lighting designer’s role to work with the director’s vision to create the setting and evoke the emotional feel they desire.
