Broken Perceptions is a window into inconsistencies of human nature, identity and behavior which uncover the distinctions between our true self and our social self. As human beings we strive to achieve societal normalcies and adapt our outward appearance to create an illusion that reflects the standards of outer society. The distorted, unclear images of my collection represent the internal and external conflict of personal identity. Consequently, what is left are the broken perceptions of not only ourselves, but of human nature and the innate need to be who we are.
